aphie of the artist: Aline de Brauwere is a Belgian contemporary artist born in 1976. She began drawing and painting at 15 years old. She trained at the Academy of Fine Arts and with several artists in painting, live models, mixed media and sculpture.
Very quickly, she exhibited and participated, among other things, in the show “Sans chichis” on RTBF where she presented her work. Aline de Brauwere takes an attentive look at our daily lives to extract a poetry imbued with gentleness and mystery. She is inspired sometimes by photos, sometimes by a furtive vision captured during the day.
In his latest series “Intimate Landscapes”, the artist revisits still lifes to offer paintings that are both realistic and symbolic where everyday objects find all their beauty. She combines acrylic and resin on round canvases where the warmth of tones and materials blend harmoniously.2
