Alessandra Mastrogiovanni is a contemporary Brazilian artist. Drawings, paintings, exploration of gourds and Brazilian seeds are the basis of her work.
Fascinated with the gourds and seeds she met in Bonito pastures, she started to produce the wall collars. A giant necklace was born with an irresistible desire to work with these gems that nature produces incessantly.
Drawing is her first love, a constant theme is the human figure, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Besides the abstract, human figure is also a recurrent theme in her paintings.
Alessandra Mastrogiovanni was born in 1967, in New York. She lives and works in São Paulo, Brasil, where she graduated from the Fine Arts at FAAP São Paulo.
