L'église St Augustin à Paris. Non loin de là, tout à côté, Curnonsky, a vécu dans le même immeuble pendant une quarantaine d'années (plaque sur la façade de l'immeuble) . Son grand ami, le poète Paul-Jean Toulet qui a eu un appart dans ce même immeuble a écrit un petit poème au sujet de l'église que tu as photographiée :

Eglise de Saint-Augustin,
Au porche maigre, à l'ample dôme
Dont les cloches seraient à Rome
Beaucoup mieux qu'ici, le matin,
Si ta circonspecte opulence
Ignore cette violence
Qui nous abyme en oraison,
C'est que Dieu même est resté triste
Qu'on prit pour bâtir sa maison
Un architecte calviniste.

Michel Akli, a passionate photographer artist, is currently dedicated to capturing the ephemeral beauty of the flowers in his garden. His artistic approach is closely linked to the evolution of the seasons and the natural progression of the flowers which brighten up his work space. Over the months, he observes and immortalizes the cycle of plant life, from the daffodils and tulips of spring to the majestic wisteria, irises and roses that mark the arrival of summer. Dahlias, for their part, end the flower season in style.

Alongside his floral photography, Michel also practices wood engraving, a discipline which allows him to further explore framing and contrast in his visual compositions. His photographic portfolio is very diverse, ranging from flowers to animals, portraits to landscapes and architecture, and playing with color nuances as well as black and white.

To create his works, Michel Akli trusts his faithful companion, a FUJI X20 camera. This small digital camera is both handy and resourceful, allowing it to accurately capture the details and emotions of each subject.

Michel's pleasure is to share his current photographic work with the world, inviting viewers to follow his artistic journey, which is both a journey from shadow to light and a celebration of the ephemeral beauty of nature. His photographs reflect his artistic sensibility and deep connection to the world around him, offering a unique perspective on plant life and how it flourishes throughout the seasons.
