Abraham Kravitz, self-taught photographer, is an artist whose encounter with photography marked a decisive turning point in his life. His journey into this mysterious and captivating art dates back to a time when the exact details of this encounter seem to fade into the mist of time. For him, photography is much more than just an activity; it is a true essence of existence, capable of awakening the deepest feelings and representing them with striking precision.
Discreet by nature, Abraham has always found in photography a way to give shape to his inner perceptions and to capture the very essence of life. Each intense emotion he feels is spontaneously translated into a vivid, original and sensitive image. Inspired by the words of Paul Valéry about the artist's perpetual quest for his art, Abraham overcame certain obstacles, notably that of a hated building, to discover his love for architecture and skyscrapers, which he captured with palpable passion.
But beyond the imposing structures, Abraham also finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration in people and street scenes, and especially in children, whom he considers the spark of good and the hope of better days. As a portraitist, he seeks to capture the sensitivity, joy, melancholy or confusion of a look, thus expressing all the richness and diversity of human emotions.
