И рисует шикарно, и живопись как у Репина, но сюжеты не интересные... И еще у него какое-то настроение не совсем ясное - хотя оно его и отличает от других... В общем, это добротный художник-реалист, не гениальный, но по своему образцовый, по своему содержательный (хотя это содержание и невозможно разобрать) Ни красивостями, ни бессмыслицей не занимался - это уже что-то... А сравнить с Репиным более подробно его было бы интересно... (недосуг!) Портреты у него тоже хороши... Кажется, он корявости любил - и рисовать людей, как нечто жалкое, унылое, пасмурное и безнадежное... - и "девочки с персиками" лишь как отдушина... Но этим своим любвям он особой воли не давал. "Чеховский" художник...
П.С.: в общем-то, работал фотоаппаратом и иллюстратором, используя свою хорошую выучку. Бессмыслицей не занимался - но и смыслами тоже...

It seems that he loved clumsiness - and to draw people as something pitiful, dull, gloomy and hopeless... - and “girls with peaches” only as an outlet... But he had a special will for these loves of his didn't give it. "Chekhov's" artist...
P.S.: in general, he worked as a camera and illustrator, using good training. He didn’t deal with nonsense, but he didn’t deal and with meaning either...
