Одноглазому надо было перейти по мосту через реку и он продвигался стремительно, торопясь, но мост бесконечен - видно река широка - так что, боится теперь, как бы не пришлось и заночевать на мосту. А мост ажурный, не сплошной и во все красивые фигурные вырезы видно, что падать пришлось бы два километра. ...Смотрящие издали называют мост ажурным, но на самом деле ажурами занимаются здоровенные рельсы с ковбойскими заклепками. Вот на них и примостится одноглазый пират... Будет на небо глядеть; хотя там тоже глубоко...; или вбок, с рельсы на рельсу; ближе, ближе к носу...; обними ее… «а теперь держись! держись! держись!»
