Werner Schaile was born in Murrhardt (Germany) in 1942 and lived until 2009. He was an artist of outstanding intensity, which can be seen in his works.

Studies in Stuttgart at the Free Art School and Art Academy in the years 1962-1969. Since 1966 he has exhibited his works in numerous group and individual exhibitions and also sold them to private and public collections. Most of the galleries that represented his works were located in southern Germany and the greater Stuttgart area.
In the form of ink drawings, early works dealt with serious themes such as life and death, war, terror, eros and redemption. Later he becomes freer, more colorful and abstract-gestural. His role models can be found in the area of abstract expressionism and informal. When looking at his colored abstractions from 1980 - 2009, associations are often evoked, which - also due to his special painting style - are fed by the unconscious. Philosophical ambitions gave Werner Schaile the degree of maturity that speaks to us from his pictures. These works are writings from his inner world, and that is what gives them the power to radiate.
