Biography of Weiyu Xia
I was born in Haozhou, Anhui and graduated from Anyang Normal University and Beijing Qinke classical oil painting studio.
I have been an independent artist for 8 years now. I developed my interested in oil painting when I was in high school. At the moment I saw oil painting I falled in love with it, and keep painting, painting and painting. I guess that is similar to Picasso. We both have the painting paranoia or mania...lol...I went on to get professional training in oil painting in Anyang Normal University for 4 years. Till now, I have several personal exhibitions as wells as group exhibitions. Many of my works are collected by buyers.
I am especially interested in classic painting technique. I used to be an professor at Anyang Normal University in oil painting for a while. Then I felt I would rather be painting all the time.My painting style is polarized, I love to be extreme realistic or extreme impressionistic. I guess I have a unique sense of color, light and figure, and I know how to have it arranged in the paper. Enjoy~~
