Vicky Jocher

Passionate about being productive and creative, I love having a studio amongst other enthusiastic artists, in this really beautiful part of Devon.

This studio is based in Newton Abbot at Seale-Hayne, which in itself is very inspiring and also has a fantastic atmosphere and surroundings.

My work is very varied, from printing, to ceramics, from jewellery making to painting as well as making artisan Teddy Bears.

I draw my inspiration from daily life and the surroundings in which I live, namely
overlooking the Exe as it comes out of Exeter along the estuary to Exmouth.
The scenery is fantastically full of boats and yachts, and the vista changes daily, and to add to my blessings I have Dartmoor practically on my doorstep.

So my inspirations are the sea and woodlands, greenery and landscapes. I've become an avid cycler of late, there is so much to see and so much to do, and so much to translate back into my many and varied art projects.
