This painting depicts the interior plan of a one-room kitchen flat. This work focuses on searching for meaning in unnecessary, random instances. Focusing prominently on the Pareidolic phenomenon, the home-alone figure seated on the couch is contemplating and fantasizing that the inanimate objects and settings are alive and awake, watching her doings in return. She tries to personify them. The egg omelette represents the subconscious nostalgia, i.e., a desirable memory of an event that happened in past stored in the mind subconsciously, which comes up at times. It signifies that the individual seated is daydreaming. The figure is my self-portrayal, and the scene comprises all my daydreams/pareidolic perceptions about the objects surrounding me whenever I am alone at home. I seldom imagined them to be alive since childhood.

I am a Visual Artist living and working in Mumbai, India. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. After that, I worked for a year as a Jr. Executive in the Art Restoration department at an auction house based in Mumbai.

Since a young age, I have been intrigued by human personality, behaviour and how humans think and perceive things around them. As an extension to this I have been exploring analogous disciplines like Psychology, Cognitive Science, Philosophy, and ancient Indian wisdom traditions to gain a deeper insight into consciousness and our reality's confinements.

I create Art as a way to journalize my sense of reality and the present moment. I paint realistic and stylized portraits as well.

My practice has lately been akeen to digital illustration and image manipulation, although, traditional and mixed media always accompany me through my journey.

Some of my undergraduate works were exhibited in a group show ‘Habitat’ curated by the famous Indian art curator Sonal Motla, at Hirji Jehangir Gallery, Jehangir Art Gallery in Kala Ghoda Art Festival, 2020 in Mumbai. One of my initial works was featured in an online activity feature, ‘Mirror Image’ by the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, Mumbai for 'Akbar Padamsee: A Tribute' exhibition, on 18 May 2020 on the account of International Museum Day on their website.

I have been featured with my digital works under the pseudonym 'Kshatakshataksh' on a digital platform/database called Homeostasis Lab, among many other emerging artists worldwide.
