Thierry Van Quickenborne was born on january 12th 1953 in Chatou, near Paris. At the age of sixteen, he bought his firts paintbrush. After his studies "lettres supérieures, Hypokhâgne" (Paris), he got a history and sociology degree, and then a visual Art degree at the Sorbonne (Paris). Since 1980, he participates in numerous shows and exhibitions in France and abroad (USA, Belgium, Germany, Japan, ...) during which is often subsidized. He lives and works in the Paris area.
