Terri Brown-Davidson is a visual artist and writer whose first novel, MARIE, MARIE: HOLD ON TIGHT (Lit Pot Press, 2004) has received unanimous rave reviews and was discussed in the September issue of THE WRITER. Terri's first book of poetry, THE CARRINGTON MONOLOGUES (Lit Pot Press), was nominated for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize. Terri teaches on the fiction/poetry faculty at Gotham writer's Workshop, where she teaches, among other levels of courses, the Master Class in Fiction. Terri's fiction and poetry have appeared in more than 850 journals and received many national awards, including the AWP Intro Award in Poetry and a Yaddo residency fellowship in fiction. She holds the Ph.D., M.F.A., and M.A. in English and creative writing. Terri's received seven nominations for the Pushcart Prize, among dozens of other honors, and was a featured poet in the anthology TRIQUARTERLY NEW WRITERS (Northwestern University Press, 1996). Her first chapbook, RAG MEN, won THE LEDGE 1994 Annual Chapbook Competition. Another chapbook, THE DOLL ARTIST'S DAUGHTER, was published in 1997 by White Eagle Coffee Store Press. Terri's been interviewed extensively in journals and newspapers, and more information on her is available on Google.

As a child artist, Terri received national recognition. Now she's returned to painting with a vengeance. Recently she was a featured artist in INK POT and THE PEDESTAL MAGAZINE, and she has work forthcoming in LITVISION and other magazines.
