Leonid Stroganov, a contemporary Russian artist, embarked on his artistic journey by graduating from Art College in 1999 and subsequently completing his studies at the Institute of Decorative Arts. Under the mentorship of Oleg Yahnin, he focused his talents on the creation of illustrations for Shakespeare's tragedy 'King Lear' as the subject of his diploma.
With excellent marks upon graduation in 2002, Leonid delved into a multifaceted career, becoming a book illustrator, freelance artist, and active participant in art performances and exhibitions. Notably, he gained recognition for crafting exclusive ex-libris for renowned collectors worldwide.
Specializing in engraving, lithography, and demonstrating proficiency in watercolors, Leonid Stroganov's artistic prowess shines through. His works have found homes in prestigious institutions such as The Hermitage Library and Public Library of Saint-Petersburg, as well as The Boston Public Library in the USA. Additionally, his pieces grace the collections of the State Museum of Vologda in Russia and the Museum of Modern Graphic in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. Private collectors across Europe and the United States also cherish his unique creations.
