I've been drawing since I can remember and as I've grown up its become my passion in life. It is my ultimate dream goal to create a business (Sterling Works) where I can share and deliver my artworks and their stories, and to create artwork in my style for everyone at affordable prices.
To get my works out to the public, I have a lot of leg work to accomplish including creating and maintaining a website to creating fine prints and other options for people to enjoy my work in their home. It is my hope to incorporate uplifting, inspiring stories and quotes handed down to me by my biological parents that I have used every day in my life to inspire and uplift those around me. As well as be able to share my artwork and their unique histories. Any donations are greatly appreciated and I cannot wait to see where Art takes me. Here is an excerpt from one of my artwork collections titled: "Human Nature."
'I began this collection as a bit of fun at a friend’s home in Manitou Springs, CO in early spring 2013. I contemplated a question that’d been buzzing in my mind for quite a while. My question was, “What is human nature?” “What is it for me, for you and for our species?”
Originally, I had done this collection as a reflection of my own human nature, which quickly transformed into something much more – a conceptual design and representation of the idea of being trapped in our own mind, forever forging our ideal image and forcing our inner beliefs to be made manifest (consciously or otherwise); projecting it out in our words, mannerisms, voices and beliefs, whilst being caught in the calm of the storm in our forever expanding mind, learning with each new moment in tranquility and commotion.
Ultimately, after exploring this concept through 8 different pieces, I realized everything is within our nature: Masculine, feminine, divine and wicked. We are unlimited, we live within the Utopia of our minds constantly expressing, repressing, modifying, expanding, progressing, refining and becoming the ‘ultimate’ version of ourselves.' (end)
