My name is Siham Itani, a Swiss-Lebanese artist who is currently living in Switzerland. Painting is a passion of mine and I have turned my passion into my profession. I am self taught but have taken throughout the years classes in art for developing my painting skills. I started off painting landscapes and horses in a realistic style but over time realized that by painting in Impressionism it gives me a wider range of freedom in expressing myself through my art. I get my inspiration from nature and therefore enjoy using vibrant colors and bold brush strokes to express and over emphasize the beauty of our world. I aspire to compose a painting that speaks to the viewer with its vibrant colors but also creates a calm and serene setting. I am inspired by Van Gogh and Monet but I am also a big fan of Gerhard Richter.
