Shahram A Kafai is a Californian expressionist and cubism artist born in New York 1954 and He returned to California in 1974. Kafai is a trained artist, Architecture and interior decorating designer. He began painting in 1964, graduated from an art school in Tehran 1974, and continued his study of art in Fresno Art Center, California 1975 and Hollywood’s Art Academy in California 1979. To study the European art Kafai has traveled to Paris, Spain, Germany, London, and Rome. Shahram Kafai is a member of San Francisco and Los Angeles Art’s Associate.

When he started painting in the 1960’s, Kafai’s work was informed by political, social, and personal contents. Several years after, he starts experimenting with Modern art. For Kafai, Modern Art is serving as a conduit, a vehicle for visceral expression, the passage of thoughts.
