"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Serge Tenèze est un artiste peintre contemporain vivant et travaillant en région bordelaise. Après quatre années d’études aux Beaux-arts de Bordeaux, puis à l’École des Arts Graphiques de cette ville, il parfait sa maîtrise des techniques traditionnelles de la peinture au sein d’Ateliers, dont celui animé par Claude Yvel. Cette rencontre a été décisive dans l’élaboration de sa peinture. Serge Tenèze applique désormais les techniques anciennes à ses œuvres contemporaines.
"Je peins la mémoire depuis 15 ans...Mémoire des lieux, que j’abordais déjà aux Beaux-arts (Série Résonance), puis mon travail sur les Clous et la longue série « Mémoire-peau ».
Après avoir réalisé fin 2017 une série de grands formats réalistes, expressionnistes (Les épouvantails), qui traduisent la mémoire de notre temps, une nécessité absolue s’imposait alors. Une simplification. L’abandon du trait, de l’expression de la figure, de l’image. Traduire non la forme, mais la matière pure, les sensations, les passages, de couleurs, de noirs, et laisser la lumière faire le reste.
En fait, peindre la mémoire aujourd’hui est ce qui reste en moi de ce temps figuré, qui s’estompe et se transforme en simple impression, jusqu’à devenir sensation, abstraction.
Notre mémoire enregistre des instants particuliers, attachés à certains lieux, à certains parfums, le souvenir de personnes disparues…impalpables traces d’instants passés, furtifs, ou cicatrices indélébiles intimes.
Malheureusement, la mémoire nous joue de sombres tours… notre mémoire ne garde pas définitivement ces instants.Inéluctablement, ils s’estompent, se délitent, s’effacent et disparaissent…
Dans mon travail, Abstract, Lumières noires et Lumières de verre, immergé dans ces perceptions, j’essaie de fixer les émotions floues de ces instants secrets, tragiques ou heureux, de ces moments précieux.
J’essaie de traduire dans ABSTRACT, les impressions colorées, ‘’audibles’’, plutôt heureuses.
Avec LUMIERES NOIRES sillons, le lac, et LUMIERES DE VERRE, tel un archéologue, j’explore et gratte les surfaces, pour mettre à jour ces instants passés, (re) découvrir les souvenirs.
Ils se retrouvent dans les circonvolutions, légères ou superposées, des sillons sur toile, ou dans la fausse transparence du verre, révélés, éclaboussés par la lumière changeante ou se refermant dans la lourde obscurité de l’oubli refermant l’accès à mon (votre) histoire.
La lumière fait apparaître, par des reflets changeants, mes souvenirs qui glissent alors dans ces stries formées, ces traces ou cicatrices.
Je reste un peintre polymorphe, poursuivant mes recherches sur la mémoire et la matière. Dans ce vaste champ des abstractions, je perpétue les techniques anciennes dans ma peinture contemporaine, pour garder le savoir, les traces de nos illustres anciens, et permettre une vraie pérennité à mon travail.
