ABOUT THE ART
Here in the drawing. Done by Peters Samuel “When We Close Our Eyes And It’s All Over WHERE DO WE GO?” Is a thought provoking self reflection question that many ask but few has answers to and can stand on their view on it. Every one dies. But when we do, WHERE DO WE GO? In the drawing we have;
The description of an old man with a worn-out body staring straight at the viewer Is a vivid and intriguing. The emotions themes I’m trying to convey with this piece are;
1. Contemplation and Introspection; The old man’s gaze represents a deep sense of contemplation and introspection, as he’s reflecting on his life and wondering what lies beyond, knowing no matter how strong a man can be, he will definitely get old one day and weak.
2. Longing and Curiosity; The worn-out body symbolize the physical limitations and frailties of old age, while the old gaze conveys a sense of longing and curiosity about what comes next.
3. Acceptance and Surrender; The old man’s expression suggests a sense of acceptance and surrender, as if he’s come to a term with mortality and is ready to let go.
4. Connection To The Viewer; By having the old man stare directly at the viewer, I’m creating a sense of connection and intimacy inviting the viewer to reflect on their own mortality and the mysteries of the afterlife.
5. The Ghost Of Afterlife; right beside his right eye there’s seems to be a unidentified figure with his hand positioned praying, a
The additional description of a round symbols, like a cloth and the same time stares, arounds the old man’s neck adds a more layer of depth to the piece. The idea of symbolizing the weights, life and things weighing him down
1. A Burden; The weights of his years, the accumulations of life’s experiences, and the pressure of his own expectations weighing him down.
2. A Shackle; The cloth is seen as a symbol of the old man’s emotional and psychological shackles, holding him back from moving forward or letting go.
3. A Badge; Alternatively, the round symbol represents a badge of honor, signifying the old man’s life experiences, wisdom and resilience.
4. A Connection To The Unknown; The cloth also is seen as a connection to the unknown, the afterlife, and the spiritual realm, adding a sense of mystery and intrigue to the Piece.
CONCLUSION
The concept of life after death is what I’m most triggered to know, how we end up loosing and leaving behind everything we stress up so much about to, it’s just so complicated how growth and life is. We are born, the next seconds we start growing and here old and die eventually, even though most don’t get the chance to grow old. WHERE DO WE GO? It doesn’t scare me that I’m going to die someday but how and where I would be when I do. The Bible records so much about life after death, about heaven, hell and judgment, how the soul leaves the soul leaves the body, and the body returning back to earth where it came from. There’s a lot of beliefs, every religions seems to have a different belief on this but the most common thing is we all die and leave our physical body someday. And when it comes it always looks like the world crashes especially when it’s someone so dear to you. The feeling of knowing it’s over, it’s the last time you see again, it’s a sense of looking at life differently. WHERE WILL I GO? I hope I be at the right place, with my father In heaven, that after all this race and run for His righteousness and seeking to live to him that I don’t end up in the wrong place cos “what would you say you lived your limited time on earth on?” That’s a question you need to look at, sometime near you will face God and give account of the life you lived, doesn’t that bother you?. God bless you.

My artistic process is intuitive and emotive, driven by a need to express the depths of human emotion. I draw inspiration from the world around me, from the beauty of nature to the darkness of the human experience.
Ultimately, my goal is to create artwork that resonates with others, that sparks a sense of reflection and introspection. I believe that art has the power to transform and uplift us, and I strive to create work that embodies this spirit.
