Since time immemorial, Indian women have passed on to their daughters the self perfected knowledge of ritualized wall and floor painting….. a form of visually expressed prayer...... an invocation to the divine to protect their Home and Hearth so as to render it as sacred .

Having been born and brought up in India and now living in the US, I have always been passionate about paintings, murals, artwork etc. with enticing hues of color playing an important role in my life.
Here amongst you I am delighted to present you with a vivid representation of the bright colors and rustic charm of India through the marble sand paintings replete with stone and bead work as also the bold and colorful jewellery, all of which blend to depict the unique flavor of India.

Deriving Inspiration and Imagination from direct encounters with the ancient and contemporary environment my work depicts visualizations of folk artists, gleeful village life, lush fields and rural landscape sometimes using a backdrop of rustic images from Indian monuments thus accumulating colorful moods and live interaction with different aspects of human emotions.

My assortment offers both nuanced and bold hues, providing more opportunity for creativity, along with unexpected color combinations. It holds dark hues such as earthy greens of algae, rich browns of mud, bright shades of mauve, and, volcanic blazes of violet and lava. Underlining various aspects of human emotions and nature, this collectively presents a unique perspective on the subject matter. Throughout the process the uncertainty of the outcome...and beyond.... keeps invigorating my creativity till it fulfills my maverick vision.
