Born on 15 March 1979, Sab Arts is a French painter living in Maine-et-Loire.

Her creative process has its origins in the singular relationship she experienced as a child with her little sister. Sab Arts' sister is autistic. During her childhood, her little sister's illness was characterised by a deficit in communication with others, compounded by anxiety attacks and self-mutilation. Faced with this relational tsunami impacting the family sphere, Sab Arts found in drawing an outlet and an extraordinary way to express herself beyond words. Over the years, the practice of her art has allowed her to apprehend her emotions. Art has become the engine of her resilience.

Fascinated by nature and wildlife, animals are the main actors of her creations, especially the horse, which she loves for its natural grace. The search for an original posture or the radiance of a look are the driving forces behind her inspiration. Concerned with detail, the coat of an animal is for her a "landscape" that invites her into her most intimate gardens. By taking on a symbolic dimension, the animal kingdom allows her to sublimate human emotions between light and shadow.
Sab Arts has never attended private drawing classes but she has always been eager to learn. As a self-taught perfectionist, she has refined her line over the years, through practice and observation of nature and the living. She studies anatomy and animal behaviour through animal encyclopaedias, documentaries and the specialised press. Her style is figurative, surfing with hyperrealism.

Sab Arts practices acrylic painting on canvas, mixed media combining various recycled materials, sculpture in the form of modeling and since 2016 dry pastel in pencil that she works on Pastelmat® paper.


The message that shines through in her creations comes naturally from her own experience but also, more universally, from her human encounters. Sab Arts has worked as a care assistant in a nursing home since 2005 but artistic creation is never far from her main activity. Sab Arts has created frescoes in the residence to brighten up the corridors of the units and thus share her art with the residents she accompanies.

From 2018, Sab Arts is becoming more professional by registering with the Maison des Artistes. She plans to develop her artistic activity in order to promote her art and share it with the public and art lovers.
