This image is based on the sad and horrific tale of Edward Mordake, said to be an heir to English peerage, who supposed had another face on the back of his head (a female devil twin ) that tormented him with hellish whispering at night to the point of driving Edward to suicide. The fabulous Tom Waits wrote and performed his brilliant song 'Poor Edward' on his album 'Alice' from 2002 about this same character.

Sometimes these images are conceived as a result of particular dreams or just spontaneous random visions, imaginings or musings.
The images invariably have a strong Surrealist influence and will often feature unusual contrasting elements and settings which can be both disturbing and humorous at the same time.
