WILD (2024) Sculpture by Ron Zohar

Ron Zohar is a contemporary artist based in Spain, known for his multidisciplinary approach and exploration of diverse artistic mediums. A graduate in Multi-disciplinary Art from Tel Aviv University, Zohar has spent his career developing expertise in sculpting with materials like metal, wood, and clay, using a variety of finishes to emphasize their distinct textures. His work is distinguished by its attention to the interplay of light and shadow, which he uses to add dimension and richness to his pieces. In addition to sculpture, Zohar is also passionate about photography as a way to capture and share the essence of his art.

Zohar’s work frequently addresses themes such as the relationship between humans and animals, examining humanity’s desire to separate itself from the "savage" animal world. He also delves into the concepts of life formation and motherhood, using these as metaphors for artistic creation and exploring the vision of a Neo-feminist, matriarchal world where art is a vital aspect of human experience.

In 2023, Zohar’s achievements earned him nominations for the prestigious Reina Sofía and Antonio López awards. His art has been exhibited in major cultural hubs, including Paris, Madrid, Zurich, and Monaco. Recently, he was selected for the Reina Sofía Prize at the "Casa de Vacas" in Madrid, marking a significant milestone in his career.
