30 Jahre Reisen auf eigene Faust nach Lateinamerika haben bleibende Eindrücke und Erinnerungen bei mir hinterlassen. Diese habe ich oft als Grundlage für meine Bilder in Acrylmaltechnik genommen. Meine Werke zeigen auf realistische, oft naturalistische Art gemalte Szenen, in denen ab und zu auch surreale Aspekte Eingang finden. Es sind Kompositionen dabei, die einen Widerspruch aufzeigen oder einen Gegensatz darstellen. Manchmal habe ich aber auch nur Augenblicke des Erlebten festgehalten. Insgesamt bevorzuge ich eine intensive Farbigkeit, die mir die Acrylmaltechnik ermöglicht. In einem von mir und meinem Reisepartner und Mann veröffentlichten Bildband mit dem Titel "Armes,reiches Lateinamerika " sind vielen Gemälden Gedanken und Erläuterungen zugeordnet. Den Tourismus, insbesondere den Massentourismus sehe ich kritisch, gemäß dem Motto " Der Tourist zerstört das, was er sucht, indem er es findet."
