Nostalgia

Titel van dit schilderij is "Nostalgia".

Dit Olieverfschilderij biedt een surrealistisch weergegeven aanblik op de zee in Oostende, Belgische kust.
Oostende staat onder meer bekend om zijn koninklijke gaanderijen. Deze bevinden zich op de Zeedijk. Het bestaat uit een wandelgang. Het is donker, nacht.
Maan weerkaats licht. De aarde is op de voorgrond aanwezig.
Er staat ook een door mij ontworpen en vervaardigde staande lamp op.

Dit schilderij werd op een MDF plaat geschilderd, met de afmeting 40 x 40 cm.
De rand bestaat uit een "kader". Deze is voorzien van een egalisatiemiddel. Een soort betonlook. In een later stadium is deze laag zwart geverfd.
Creatiedatum is 21-10-21.

Robert Van Den Herik is a contemporary Dutch artist. Drawing inspiration from magical realism and surrealism, particularly from the works of Carel Willink and Salvador Dali, he embarked on his artistic journey. Following his education at the Design Academy Eindhoven, he initially pursued a career as a product designer for different companies. It was during this time that he introduced his own innovative product called the Shantala baby bath, revolutionizing the way babies are bathed.

As his artistic exploration deepened, he delved into the realm of "Art versus Design." He began creating lighting fixtures, furniture, and garden decorations, all meticulously crafted by hand. In these creations, aesthetics often took precedence over functionality, allowing his artistic vision to flourish.
