There is a space and eyes on the painting.
The sun set is depicted on the left side of the painting with the clearly painted eye with tears. This depicts the first part of the quote “Don´t cry when the sun has set”. I intentionally painted the left eye clearly as this one cries because of the sun set, i.e. something which has ended and it cannot sea the beauty of the night sky.
All the beauties contained in the night sky are depicted from the middle of the painting to its right side to express the second part of the quote “as the tears will prevent you to see the stars”. I depicted stars, Moon, Milky Way in this part of the painting together with the right eye which, in comparison to the left eye, is transparent to express the fact that this eye fully realises and absorbs all the beauties of the night scenery. It means that something new shall come when something old is gone – by the sun set.
There is the constellation of Lion incorporated among the stars. I have chosen this star sign as the lion is the king of animals and the lion expresses the strength. This strength helps us to see the things from a better perspective.
The purpose of this painting was to express that everything we are looking at and we are perceiving is just only our point of view.
