Rémy Matto
Rémy Matto was born in 1960 in Albertville in Savoie. Son of a renowned painter "Rémy Martinetto", it is in this magical atmosphere that he spent his childhood. Not very interested in studies but gifted for painting, very young he devoted himself to this art and exhibited since 1980 in his studio then took over the Martinetto art gallery, in the medieval city of Conflans, dominating Albertville.
The artist has mastered everything successively with aerosol cans, airbrushing, computer drawing and acrylic painting with a knife.
Self-taught artist, recognized for these abstract works or Fantasy Art, Matto has been rewarded many times for his original talent. Winner of several group exhibitions, he was nominated for a silver medal at the ArtMajeur Awards in 2012. Today, these paintings are sold all over the world.
The artist has worked on many projects: covers of Fanzines or SF novels, CD jackets, posters, character creations for screen printing, wall decorations, billboards, creations of animated video clips and graphic illustration of the video of the opera ballet '' Et in terra pax '' for the Olympic City Theater of Albertville in 1992.
