Malarstwo Wiolety Przybysz zrodziło się na gruncie ekspresjonizmu i koloryzmu. Koloru, formy i kompozycji uczyła się w pracowni znanego malarza ekspresjonisty Michała Moląga w Warszawie.

W swoich pracach próbuje zapisać subiektywne, ulotne wrażenie chwili. Przy pomocy prymitywnej, surowej, ekspresyjnej kreski i mocnych uderzeń pędzla przedstawia przedmioty codziennego użytku. Unika wyszukanych, skomplikowanych treści: jej tematy są proste, zazwyczaj są to rzeczy osobiste, z jej zwykłego otoczenia. Poprzez ciągłe eksperymentowanie ze światłem odkrywa nowe rozwiązania kompozycyjne plam barwnych oraz kontrastów w nich zawartych. Z odwagą i uporem stosuje autorskie barwy i ich wzajemne relacje.
