La scène créée représente un rideau accroché sur le mur et un tapis posé sur le sol. Le rideau présente une fermeture, à la fois une interdiction de traverser, un obstacle et une occultation. Le rideau cache les objets de l’arrière-plan et crée un nouveau paysage irréel en occultant le paysage réel et abimé. Nous ne pouvons pas voir l’espace caché derrière le rideau comme les faces cachées du monde politique et des médias, aujourd’hui. La scène fait apparaitre deux ciels séparés par un rideau ou par une forme géométrique rectangulaire, représentant deux temps et deux mondes, mais en même temps le rideau crée une séparation et une division entre le réel et l’irréel dans la peinture, cette rencontre paradoxale crée un choc et une force dans la peinture.
Pour les Ouïghours, le tapis symbolise un territoire et une terre. Le territoire en tant qu'espace politique est d'une autre nature. Frontière, borne, il marque l'espace de survie et de puissance, c'est-à-dire le cœur des enjeux géopolitiques. Le tapis est posé sur un sol froid couleur béton, le vent sur le sol est présenté en couleur noire-terre sienne brulée. En choisissant ces teintes j’ai voulu manifester un sentiment d’inquiétude. J’ai utilisé les couleurs noires et grises afin d’évoquer la pression et le stress que je vivais. La couleur rouge du tapis semblable à la couleur du sang. Cette teinte chaude fait disparaître les couleurs froides pour libérer la terre, le conflit entre les couleurs dans la peinture pose la question de la confrontation.
Dans les œuvres, j’ai représenté les enfants Ouïghours car ils sont au cœur des enjeux politiques du monde actuel. Les gestes d’enfants attirent mon attention et ils nous interpellent, ils magnétisent le regard. Ils nous donnent deux informations paradoxales tantôt un geste enfantin, tantôt un geste sérieux. Ils sont saisis par une multitude de sentiments : surprise, étonnement et perplexité. Tous les enfants sont illustrés avec leurs ombres. L’ombre est profonde et intime, la lumière est transparence, elle est signe d’ouverture, d’espoir, de liberté de voir et de circuler.
