Cette toile évoque différents événements douloureux liés aux seins tels que le cancer du sein, l'ablation d'un sein, les kystes, les tumeurs, les nodules, les mastodynies, les gonflements, les sensation de lourdeur etc. Chaque symptôme mammaire fréquent chez la femme peut donner lieu à de vives inquiétudes. Les modifications hormonales au cours du cycle sont souvent la cause de ces symptômes.
