Pin Vega is a contemporary Spanish artist, born in 1968 in Tarragona and living in Madrid. Growing up in the natural surroundings of Soto de Viñuelas, near the Viñuelas Castle, his childhood was marked by a deep connection to nature. He developed a fascination with observing the small details of the world—such as insects, vegetation, and rocks—nurturing a keen eye for the beauty of simple things. This early love for nature strongly influenced his artistic vocation.

Vega enrolled at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid, having already exhibited and sold numerous realistic works, particularly in portraiture and landscape. However, he soon made a radical shift in his style, focusing entirely on what he calls "pictosculptures"—three-dimensional paintings or polychrome sculptures designed to be hung on walls. His first piece in this style was created in 1990. A turning point in his artistic journey came in 1991, when he encountered the work of sculptor Anish Kapoor at the Palacio Velázquez in Madrid, which inspired him to infuse his works with spirituality, using pure and saturated pigments.

After studying sculpture and photography, Vega graduated in painting in 1992. In 1996, he met German art dealer Oliver Stümann, who was captivated by his work and introduced him to the German market. This led to the opening of "Gallerie PIN" in Bielefeld, which debuted with a major solo exhibition by Vega.

In 2014, with the opening of his new studio in Madrid, Vega took on a new challenge by organizing live creation performances for his top clients. These events, held once or twice a year, allow the public to witness the intimate process of creating his works and the catharsis that accompanies it.
