Biography
Pierre Duquoc is a photographer attracted by editing, special effects, the art of making real what is not, of opening windows on the imagination. His first works remained anchored in reality, thanks to digital tools, he quickly oriented his work towards photo-montage.
The series of photos of the "Mini-adventures" are intended as snapshots with absurd humour, often reflecting in the background real-life situations.
Pierre Duquoc is a self-taught artist, he lives and works in Athis-Mons (France). He has participated in many exhibitions. His series “Les Minipéripéties”, exhibited several times, earned him a nomination for the 2011 Arcimboldo prize organized by the “Gens d'image” association and the “Swiss Life” foundation.

Je serai présent les 2 et 3 décembre prochains au Marché de l'Art de Montgeron.
Aux côtés d'une cinquantaine d'autres artistes, toutes disciplines confondues, j'y exposerai petits et grands formats extraits de plusieurs de mes séries de photos ou de travaux numériques.
A l'approche des fêtes de fin d'année, c'est peut être l'occasion d'offrir ou de s'offrir un tirage original en édition limitée.
Entrée libre les 2 et 3 décembre, salle l'Astral, 121 avenue de la République, 91230 Montgeron.

Exposition collective - La photographie et ses dérives
Pour sa troisième exposition, l’Espace d’art Chaillioux propose un voyage dans l’univers de la création photographique, en empruntant des chemins de traverse. Sont présentés les travaux de huit photographes qui ont une pratique non conventionnelle de leur médium, qui le détournent de son usage habituel. Ce sont quelques-unes de ces dérives – en rien exhaustives – que le visiteur est invité à découvrir à travers des travaux dont la diversité devrait le surprendre et, nous l’espérons, l’enchanter. Chacun des photographes exposés, à sa manière, réussit à arracher le médium photographique à son ghetto traditionnel de représentation prétendument objective de faits visuels, à en finir avec cette fatalité d’aliénation historique et sociale, pour, à l’instar des autres médiums plastiques, en faire un outil d’investigation et de remise en cause de notre monde.

"Le sang des fleurs" ! Un titre formidable pour cette série de photos superbes aux lumières savamment étudiées qui font la part belle au mystère. Le sang des fleurs... le sang des femmes ? Félicitations pour cette évocation qui n'a que rarement droit de cité et que j'inscris dans ma collection "Accueillir ce qui dérange".
