Painted this pure watercolour whilst on a walking holiday near Fugen in Austria. The view up to the mountains of the Tyrol is truly inspiring and I was happy with this as a final result.

I was heavily influenced by parents who were always painting and sketching on holiday so I naturally followed suit and experimented with oils and acrylics before concentrating on watercolours. I belong to two local art groups in Devon, England and regularly show at exhibitions. I am fortunate to be able to accept commissions and sell my paintings, prints and cards at local galleries and retail outlets. My paints are always with me on holiday (which is often in Italy) and I am regularly visiting Dartmoor National Park, which is on my doorstep and a continuous source of inspiration.
