I am a painter from montreal-canada .I paint mostly in an abstract style but have also explored figurative painting . I came to painting through my interest in photography , i wanted to expand the limits of my creativity .My abstract works are reflections of inner emotions and inner spiritual states .I have become very interested in eastern religions and i believe that this has influenced the direction of my paintings .My figurative works borrow their inspiration from african culture , north american native culture and shaman traditions .I have sought to create simple but bold images which seem to emerge from a primitive unconscious world .I am a very experimental painter who gives little thought before beginning a painting .I allow the images to emerge as each stroke is added .I allow myself to be guided by my inner impulses .i have participated in numerous exhibitions and have always recieved favorable comments . photos/pconti .
