Unite States western subject is one of my favorite subjects to paint, I love the dynamic of animal, cowboy, Native American Indian, western landscape, colors, atmosphere and stories as well.
This is my first attempt to add abstract artistic elements to paintings completed in Impressionist style, creating a strong and unique feeling.
Unite States western subject is one of my favorite subjects to paint, I love the dynamic of animal, cowboy, Native American Indian, western landscape, colors, atmosphere and stories as well.
This is my first attempt to add abstract artistic elements to paintings completed in Impressionist style, creating a strong and unique feeling.
Paul is an Oil Painters of America (OPA) Signature Member, Art Gallery Painter, Award-Winning Artist, Sr. Illustrator in Animation and Gaming field, born in Guangzhou, China. Received his BFA degree from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art one of the most prestigious fine arts schools in China, has lived in the United States over 27 years.
In the past 6 years at the Academy of Fine Arts, he has learned solid basic fine art skills in drawing and paint realism. This can be seen from many of his artworks. The subjects he likes to paint are diverse and all have his own unique observation vision and style features, such as characters, landscapes, cityscapes, still life, animals, historical theme etc., the style is impressionism, sometimes he also paints abstract paintings, and when he works for animation or game companies, he also uses Photoshop to paint on computer. For decades, the price of his paintings has been increasing in the world art market. Many art collectors all over the world are collecting his artwork.
All works are copyrighted, and all rights are reserved by the artist.

Paul Cheng was born and grew up in Guangzhou China and studied at Guangzhou Fine Art College China, one of the most prestigious fine art schools in China. He received his BFA degree from and taught at the same school. His paintings have exhibited at different fine arts competitions in China, Australia and the United States and has become an award-wining artist. Paul Cheng was featured in Southwest Art Magazine in April 2013. He has worked for some main entertainment companies as a Sr. visual development artist, art director and an Sr. illustrator of gaming companies in Australia and the United States. These projects he has worked were either nominated for Oscar Best Animation Feature Film or won Oscar Outstanding Achievement in Character Design in an Animated Feature Production and an Emmy award.
