"Christine" portrays deceit as a living entity, breathing in the shadows and feeding on vulnerability. The skeletal presence, with its dark aura and destructive features, reflects the moral and emotional void that deceit can create, both internally and within relationships. The long, distorted tongue serves as a visual warning against deceptive words, while the blood suggests the inevitable consequences of a life built on lies and manipulation.
This work encapsulates the emotional weight of deceit, transforming it into a striking and unsettling visual form.

Element Analysis
Environment
The cloudy background, in shades of dark purple blended with gray and copper, creates an enigmatic and oppressive setting. The choice of these colors is essential to convey the emotional tension that permeates the work.
Purple tones: Associated with mystery, introspection, and often manipulation and deceit.
Gray and copper: Represent neutrality, coldness, and a touch of decay, balancing the emotional intensity of purple.
Smoke: Symbolizes confusion and concealment, serving as a visual metaphor for how deceit operates, hiding the truth under layers of uncertainty.
Main Figure – The Skeleton
Skull: The choice of a skull as the main face reflects the dehumanization caused by deceit. It represents emotional and moral death, where the essence of being is replaced by emptiness.
Deep black eyes: The absence of light in the eyes symbolizes the loss of soul and authenticity. Eyes are traditionally "windows to the soul," but here, they become abysses reflecting darkness and deception.
Mouth with teeth: The mouth, with exposed teeth, evokes aggressiveness and the idea that deceit is predatory. It bites, destroys, and wounds those it encounters, while also disfiguring its own essence.
Long, shadowy tongue: This element reinforces the concept of deceitful words, slander, or verbal manipulation. The exaggerated length symbolizes the destructive reach of speech.
Dripping Blood
The blood dripping from the skull and mouth introduces a visceral, almost tragic element.
Interpretation: It represents the consequences of deceit for both the perpetrator and the victim. It serves as a visual reminder of the emotional, psychological, and even physical impact dishonesty can inflict.
Lines and Textures
Prominent lines on the skull: Convey a sense of rigidity and fragility simultaneously, symbolizing the external strength and internal vulnerability that coexist in deceitful actions.
Shadowed neck features: Indicate the connection between verbal deceit (the tongue) and its internal origin (the heart or mind).

My name is Roberto and I am a visual artist.
Otrebor has always been present within me, since the first days I perceived the world around me. He is the manifestation of that side that matured too soon, that observed reality with a different, deeper and, at times, darker look. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to horror films, to images that others would avoid. The B side of life, the shadows that go unnoticed, have always instilled something in me, like a silent call to explore what hides beyond the surface.

My journey as an visual artist is not just an aesthetic quest, but a continuous dive into the unresolved emotions and invisible landscapes of the psyche. Through Otrebor, I invite the viewer to face discomfort, embrace the complexity of existence, and find beauty where most see only darkness. Each artwork is a portal to this introspection — a chance to reveal the B side within us all.

Otrebor's art is a reflection of this hidden side. Every brushstroke, every composition is an expression of this duality — the beauty found in darkness, the truth revealed in the deepest recesses of the human soul. Through my art, I seek to confront and explore the unknown, the unspoken, what many prefer not to see. Otrebor is the mirror of an internal universe, where shadows are not feared, but accepted as an integral part of the human experience.

These artworks are the illustrative representation of underworlds, in which scenarios and beings are created by mundane actions and emotions (or in some cases, lack thereof). They serve to expand the imagination and mainly to deepen reflection on the psyche and how we deal with thoughts.
