The artwork captures the essence of trauma, sadness and memory as forces that resist time. "The Memory Remains" is not just a representation of a soldier, but a reflection of the internal struggle for peace and understanding of the atrocities experienced. The smoky lines and smaller specters highlight the souls of friends lost in combat, making the soldier a figure who carries the memories and pains not only of himself, but also of his comrades who have passed away.

Element Analysis
The Background (Earthy Mist):
Earthy tones, such as brown, copper, bronze and sand, represent the passage of time and memories that slowly fade, but never disappear completely. The fog suggests a scenario of uncertainty and disorientation, typical of traumatic memories that manifest themselves in a nebulous and disconnected way.
Visual Effect: The smoky atmosphere gives depth to the composition, symbolizing the wear and tear and emotional impact of those who have lived through extreme situations, where time does not completely erase the scars, but covers them with a layer of partial oblivion.

The Spectral Being with the Soldier's Helmet:
The spectral being represents a soldier who still bears the weight of the horrors of war. His helmet indicates his identity as a warrior, while his sad face and introspective posture, with his hand over his chin or mouth, reveal a state of disbelief and suffering. The deep, black eyes reflect the emptiness and emotional abyss that forms after experiencing so many losses.
The Minor Specters on the Chest: These traits evoke the souls of friends lost in combat, making the soldier a figure who carries the memories and pains not only of himself, but also of his lost comrades. They float around his chest, as if they were part of his being, a constant reminder of the lives that were taken.

My name is Roberto and I am a visual artist.
Otrebor has always been present within me, since the first days I perceived the world around me. He is the manifestation of that side that matured too soon, that observed reality with a different, deeper and, at times, darker look. Since I was a child, I have been drawn to horror films, to images that others would avoid. The B side of life, the shadows that go unnoticed, have always instilled something in me, like a silent call to explore what hides beyond the surface.

My journey as an visual artist is not just an aesthetic quest, but a continuous dive into the unresolved emotions and invisible landscapes of the psyche. Through Otrebor, I invite the viewer to face discomfort, embrace the complexity of existence, and find beauty where most see only darkness. Each artwork is a portal to this introspection — a chance to reveal the B side within us all.

Otrebor's art is a reflection of this hidden side. Every brushstroke, every composition is an expression of this duality — the beauty found in darkness, the truth revealed in the deepest recesses of the human soul. Through my art, I seek to confront and explore the unknown, the unspoken, what many prefer not to see. Otrebor is the mirror of an internal universe, where shadows are not feared, but accepted as an integral part of the human experience.

These artworks are the illustrative representation of underworlds, in which scenarios and beings are created by mundane actions and emotions (or in some cases, lack thereof). They serve to expand the imagination and mainly to deepen reflection on the psyche and how we deal with thoughts.
