Oleg Kirnos is a Ukrainian painter from the city of Dnipro. Kirnos is a representational artist whose work is influenced by Post-impressionism, Expressionism and Post-modernism. He is especially interested in themes relating to nature and portraiture. Demonstrating the same dexterity, sensitivity and sensuality in rendering landscapes and portraits alike, Kirnos creates expressive, colorful canvases.
Kirnos is a naturally gifted artist who began painting at an early age by attending an art studio for children led by a well-known Ukrainian painter, Natalia Tarasenko. Even then his artwork won him several prestigious awards. Later, the harsh economic reality of his native country drove him to pursue metallurgy and engineering, and to eventually found his own business. Nonetheless, Kirnos has never stopped painting. He works mostly with oil, though through the years he has also experimented with watercolor, drawing, and sculpture.
