Emmanuel Assante was born in 1968. He attended art evening classes (ateliers Beaux-Arts in Paris) and worked at a collective studio Jean Bertholle set up in Paris. He has been deeply influenced by the painters from la Nouvelle école de Paris, mostly Jean Bertholle, Roger Bissière, Alfred Manessier, etc...
