Nina Samosudova, born in 1958, currently lives and works in Portugal. She is distinguished by her works in conté on cardboard, conté on paper and pastel on paper, specializing in surrealist and impressionist drawings.
Originally from St. Petersburg, Nina moved to Ukraine with her family during her childhood. She nurtured her passion for art by attending art school, then continued her studies at the National University of Construction and Architecture in Kyiv. Having worked as an architect and interior designer, Nina now teaches professional disciplines, including drawing and composition, at a university.
Drawing and painting have always been fundamental elements of his profession as an architect and designer. However, her love for painting as an art has always pushed her to explore this field in more depth. She prefers to work with pastels, a material that she considers unique because of its rich and varied possibilities. Nina also likes to use colored pencils to achieve unexpected color effects.
Years of experience in architecture and design have allowed Nina to develop a distinctive drawing style. His ability to mix surreal elements with an impressionistic touch gives his works a dreamlike and poetic quality. Each drawing is an exploration of shapes and colors, inviting the viewer to delve into a world that is both familiar and strangely captivating.
Nina hopes to continue evolving in the direction she has chosen, combining her technical expertise with her love for art. His work is a testimony to the fusion between the rigor of architecture and the expressive freedom of painting.
