BIOGRAPHY

Growing up in a family of artists (Her Father is an artist as well as her mother is a literary artist), has lead her to develop a deep devotion to the study of the human figure and to all aspects of painting and multiple media.
Outside of the guidance from her family, she received training early on from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago obtaining a BFA and received a full scholarshipfor her MFA at Northern Illinois University. Her awards include a recent CAAP Grant as well as one previous, a 1999 NUSA Stipend recipient, a1998 VSC Grant and a 1994The Vermont Studio Center merit summer fellowship. She is currently represented by La LLorona Gallery of Cbicago, in which she is involved in a two year travelling exhibition to a number of international sites including France, Italy and Brazil. Up and Coming, she will be featured in a solo show at Galerie Gora in Montreal, Quebec, November 27th to December 15th, 2001 and a small group show at The CCT Gallery of NorthWestern University Settlement House, Chicago, September 12th, 2001 to February 2002.
As of May 15th, 2001: August Day of 1998©1998, painted low relief will be published as a chapter opener to the textbook: Fundamanetals of Abnormal Psychology and Modern Times by Carson, Butcher and Mineka coming out sometimes 2002. This selection was made possible by Allyn & Bacon Publishing/Pearson Education and The VSA Organization out of Washington D.C.
Coming September 30,2001: Dizionario Enciclopedico Internazionale D’Arte Moderna E Contemporanea 2001/2002 will be available to the public through Casa Editrice Alba, Corso Porto Po 82/A 44100 Ferrara, Italy Which includes a full biography and B& W reproduction of my art.
