Russian artist Nelly Akchurina, born 16 August 1987 in Ufa, is a member of the Bashkortostan Association of Professional Artists, the UNESCO International Association of Art, as well as the "Union of Arts of Russia".
The art of Nelly Akchurina preserves Russian and Bashkir national aesthetic - in most of her works you can find folk motifs. Her artistic creations include a wide variety of technical fields - painting, graphic arts, weaving and hand weaving (tapestry), hot and cold batik, enamel, serigraphy and artistic photography. She uses many different combinations of materials, including a large experimentation in mixed media. Her unusual and particularly bright colors highlight her creations.
Her works are present in many collections - the Nesterov National State Museum of Bashkortostan (Ufa), the National State Art Museum of Chuvashia (Cheboksary), the Historical and Architectural State Art Museum (Yelabuga), the Museum of Frescoes of Dionisius (Ferapontov Monastery, Vologda Region) - as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad (Thailand, Germany, Israel, France, the United States).
