Nataliya Lemesheva is a contemporary artist based in Cabrils, a province of Barcelona in Spain. Born and raised in Voronezh, Russia, she has been passionate about drawing from a young age, participating in numerous children’s and youth art competitions. After graduating from Voronezh State University with a degree in economics, Nataliya moved to Moscow, where her artistic journey took a more serious turn.
In 2004, Nataliya began exploring graphics at a local artist’s studio in Moscow. Her passion for art deepened in 2014 when she started working with soft pastels, a medium that allowed her to express her creativity more vibrantly. In 2019, she graduated from the prestigious Moscow State Academic Art Institute, named after V.I. Surikov at the Russian Academy of Arts, further honing her skills and artistic vision.
Nataliya, along with a group of fellow students, formed an art association called “Workshop 18,” which became a platform for collaborative creativity and artistic exploration. Her dedication to her craft led to her first solo exhibition, marking a significant milestone in her career. Since 2020, she has been actively studying contemporary art, expanding her knowledge through an online course at HSE University.
As a member of the National Union of Pastelists of Russia, Nataliya continues to be an active participant in the art community, showcasing her work in various exhibitions. Her relocation to Spain in 2020 has opened new avenues for her artistic expression, allowing her to blend her Russian heritage with the vibrant culture of her new home.
