The Story Behind the Painting.
This artwork was created on an extraordinary winter day. Early in the morning, I looked out the window and was amazed by the incredibly thick fog that enveloped the city. The fog was so dense that I couldn’t see the buildings across the alley — only their faint, blurred silhouettes were visible.
The surreal view outside my window captivated me so deeply that I felt an immediate urge to capture it on canvas. I wanted to preserve this unique moment and convey the eerie atmosphere of that winter day.
To bring my vision to life, I chose the impasto technique with a palette knife. This method allowed me to best express the unusualness of the scene and convey the peculiar mood of that foggy urban winter day. The texture created by the palette knife perfectly captures the misty atmosphere and adds depth to the painting, making it more tangible and emotionally charged.
Through this artwork, I aimed to share not only the visual impression but also the emotional response to the mysterious beauty of that foggy winter morning.
Thank you for finding a place for art in your space!🌿
