Her name is Florence Owen Thompson....she was photographed in a pea pickers camp..where she was stranded with her three children. Her face..and this photograph hit the cover of Time magazine and would later become "The Migrant Mother..the face of the Depression" It was a title she neither sought nor desired ...but it became her's to own.
This is an airbrush rendering of the Iconic image that was taken by Dorothea Lange in the Great Depression of the 1930s.
