EKKO presents MR POPART
Mr Popart is a Generation Y artist from Bordeaux. All the codes of his generation can be found in his work, which evokes pop culture figures, toys, films and cartoons from his childhood. His works are plural both in the techniques (posca, acrylics, spray paint, watercolor) and in the media, drawing sheet, banknotes, traffic signs, 3D printing, diversion of objects Etc... He mixes or diverts his subjects and medium to convey messages close to his heart or express his feelings, sometimes with a note of humor or cynicism.
He brings us his view of this world going downhill and cycling, on this end of cycle and its aberrations. Money damages the world and we love money the snake bites its tail, but soon there will be no more snakes. "I paint still lifes on banknotes, but in fact it is the banknotes that make them what they are" an exhibition on money on capitalism, war and the deep stupidity of human beings.
