Venezuela

Mirna Salamanqués nació en Caracas el 17 de septiembre de 1943.
En 1962 realiza su primera exposición individual en el Círculo "Pez Dorado" en la Plaza Morelos en Caracas, Venezuela.
Mirna nació en la ciudad de Caracas, hija de Humberto Salamanqués y Carmen Escobar Ruíz.
Muy pequeña a la edad de 8 años fue internada en el Colegio de las Teresianas, donde recibió una educación católica.
Vivió en Caracas hasta los 16 años, a esa edad fue enviada a estudiar a Jamaica, a un convento de mojas inglesas. Allí tiene un ferviente deseo de meterse a monja. Pero decide regresar a Venezuela.
Estudió primaria en el Colegio Nuestra Señora de >Guadalupe en Sabana Grande y en el Instituto Escuela de La Florida bajo la Dirección de Marìa Victoria Alvarado y de Olga Larralde.
Se graduó en el Liceo Alcazar, liceo nocturno ya que muy joven tuvo que abandonar su casa y dedicarse a trabajar y a estudiar simultaneamente.
Tuvo una adolescencia con muchos percances por haberse enamorado muy joven de una persona controversial y no aceptada or su familia.
A los 20 años tuvo a su primer hijo, Humberto y a los 21 a su hija Verónica.
A los 25 años se divorció.
Se marchó a París con sus dos pequeños hijos y su hermana menor, Eruby.
Permaneció 8 años en París en donde estudió Arte en la Escuela Superior de Artes Decorativas becada por el Inciba y por el Gobierno Francés. Se graduó de Licenciada en Arte en el año de 1975.
En los veranos permanecía en Cadaqués en la Costa Brava en donde conoció a Salvador Dalí y a su esposa Gala.
Em 1977 regresa a Venezuela en donde permanece hasta el año de 1984. Se marcha luego con sus hijos a la ciudad de Los Angeles- California.
En 1985 realiza su primer gran trabajo para la arquitectura dirigida por el arquitecto Walter Sarraceni de Florencia, el Restaurant "La Bussola". Obra integrada a la arquitectura compuesta de 160 paneles de 3 metros por 1.20 m. denominada La Gran Galaxia, Con un área de 400 metros cuadrados.
En 1988 regresa a Venezuela en donde se establece y desde donde se moviliza hacia el mundo entero.
Actualmente vive en El Limón Edo. Aragua en donde tiene su Taller de Trabajo y su oficina de Comunicaciones.
