The unique sculpture "Forest" is a miniature made of bark on concrete. Tiny trees made with great care are located on the rock - this is almost the whole philosophy of the author - nature in its natural beauty, and the artist can only admire and imitate.

This sculpture is a desire to preserve a part of nature under a glass dome, a desire to preserve the most beautiful and most fragile in this world. At a time when the forests are devoured by fires, I hid a piece of the forest in this sculpture.
A concrete stand as a symbol of the fact that a person has got too close to nature, the tree bark is literally swallowed up by the concrete at the base. And nevertheless, these two opposite matters coexist in peace, at least within the limits of my creativity.

Mikhail Davydov is a contemporary Russian sculptor based in Denmark. Known for his intricate miniature sculptures, he possesses a unique ability to weave expansive narratives through the smallest of details. Drawing inspiration from the realms of nature and architecture, Davydov meticulously captures the myriad images and sensations that have left an indelible mark on his perception.

In his creative process, he seamlessly blends these accumulated influences with his present state of mind and reflective thoughts. The amalgamation of these elements gives rise to what Davydov eloquently terms a "conversation with the viewer about big things, through small ones." Through his art, he invites audiences to engage in a profound dialogue, transcending the physical dimensions of his sculptures to explore the vast narratives encapsulated within them. Davydov's work stands as a testament to the power of the miniature, demonstrating how even the tiniest creations can encapsulate grand and meaningful stories.
