Sculpture Girl with red balloon
(Lost wax bronze casting) Girl with red balloon, sculpture that marks the beginning of the collection "Gráffiti".
Miguel Guía proposes with this sculpture of a girl the "Gráffiti" style and a bright metallic balloon red nickel in the shape of a heart, to take it to a three-dimensional representation, inspired by the famous work of Banksy (girl with balloon) to which is added the metallic red effect on the globe, characteristic in numerous Pop Art works, proposing this fusion of styles, through sculpture.
With good lighting, this work manages to imitate the drawing that we would produce with a template of "Gráffiti".
The sculptures of the Madrid artist Miguel Guía, manage to transport us to a universe of urban art, originating in the street, where you can find works full of social criticism, political satire and very distinctive styles, such as Banksy managed to make into his own in Blek le Rat.
Limited edition of 299 works
Miguel Guía is a contemporary Spanish artist. He grows up surrounded by artists and artisans with a lot of craft in his father’s foundry and artistic reproductions workshop, absorbing multiple knowledge of the trade, discovering different artistic languages and in turn, helping his family to thrive in this complex world of art sales.
The artist nurtures a creative spirit and possesses a distinct sensitivity towards beauty in its multifaceted expressions. Miguel Guía's artistic journey unfolds through various stages of continuous evolution, where previous accomplishments are not abandoned but rather integrated and perpetually bear fruit alongside the exploration of new forms of expression. This ongoing process eventually culminates in the establishment of a unique and recognizable style, which the artist refers to as "ArtEssence."
