Under the guidance of artist Claude Rutault and influenced by the writings of Kasimir Malevitch, two pivotal encounters that significantly impacted his artistic development, he earned his DNAP in 2003.
Further enriching his artistic knowledge, Jourdet joined Annette Messager's workshop at ENSBA in Paris and spent a year studying in Barcelona. His commitment and talent were recognized with commendations from the jury during his DNSAP. Since 2008, Jourdet has been a regular presence in exhibitions across Paris and France, showcasing his work in prestigious venues such as the 104, the Gaïté lyrique, the Galerie le Plateau, and more.
In addition to his role as an artist, Jourdet has ventured into exhibition curation, notably contributing to Jeune Création from 2011 to 2013. His engagement in the art community further expanded when he joined the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris as a teacher, focusing on the Via Ferrata prep class. Michael Jourdet's artistic journey is marked by a rich tapestry of education, exploration, and contribution to the vibrant art scene in Paris and beyond.
