Marie-France MATEU was passionate about drawing and painting from her childhood. Impregnated by the colors and the light of her native country, Morocco, she will translate much later on the canvas all the emotions that Africa has aroused in her.

A self-taught painter, she depicts it naturally landscapes and faces through the prism of a very strong perception of people and nature. Settled on the Côte d'Azur since her early youth, Marie-France MATEU also draws her inspiration from the lights of the Mediterranean.

Her way of building in abstraction the spirituality of her intimate thought, takes him to a new stage in his creative process. The discovery of new forms, the energy of the line, the harmony or clash of colors, the mastery of techniques and the demanding search for a personal aesthetic, reveal a sensitive and authentic personality.
